Tray dryer exporters make the least acknowledged yet the most common instrument of production. Dryers stand as the final wall of processing where product life is increased or enhanced. Since the function performed by dryers is utterly crucial to businesses that produce easily adulterated goods, they come in a variety of forms, each of which uses a different drying technique.

As the name suggests, tray dryers are a sophisticated machinery that is used to reduce the moisture of objects (usually eatable manufactured goods), to make them more durable in terms of shelf life and storage duration. Probably the most used amongst all dryers, tray dryers are structured with a huge cabinet body and lengthy trays for holding products. These over-like dryers come with their own set of disadvantages, but their differing internal mechanisms make up for the same. The general process of conduction followed in every tray dryer is as follows:

Loading Products

The trays are cleansed with a soft cloth using little amounts of water. The wet products are loaded on the trays in a manner where each of the batch products is strategically placed to receive an equal amount of heat on every side. Then, the trays are carefully placed in the chamber.

Fanning Cold and Hot Air Simultaneously

Once all the products are loaded, fresh air is let into the cabinet while heaters are geared up. Hot air is circulated at a speed of 2 to 5 meters per second. It flows throughout the cabinet centripetally. The induced turbulent flow ensures that the vapor pressure inside the cabinet is maintained at a set value while the thickness of the air boundary layer is undisturbed.

Evaporation of Water from Products

Hot air touches every product and raises its temperature. This, in turn, induces the process of evaporation. As the water diffuses from the interior of the solids, its capillary action starts to dry the products from inside-out. To control the vapor pressure inside the cabinet, fresh air is circulated back into the system every time hot air pressure reaches 80 – 90%.

Adhering to Containment Time

Containment time is set depending upon the wetness of the product and the desired dryness level. Tray dryer exporters offer control with pre-set hot air temperatures.  For pharmaceutical goods like tablets and capsules, it usually takes longer than usual for complete processing.

The circular fan-based circulation system, where hot air is controllably passed over products as gushes of wind, ensures that sufficient amount of air reaches out to each product. While the meshed or perforated trays create a passage for hot air exposure to the bottom of the goods. By using these techniques, the following industries make the most out of tray dryer manufacturers goods:

Pharmaceutical Companies

Medicines are highly prone to pollutants and adulterants which is why they must be carefully stored. Also, certain types of medicines do not remain as effective as expected in their wet form. Thus, they are dried and stored in their unreactive form.

Food Processing/Storage

Seasonal foods and processed goods need to be dried for increasing their long life. The increased wetness of their final form can lead to the adulteration of the product because of microbial growth.

Cosmetics and Body Care

Skincare goods are required to be delicate yet beneficial for users. Hence, they are passed through tray dryer tests to decrease their moisture level as well as improve their texture.

Tray dryer goods are a common feature of industrial markets. Yet, they are rarely acknowledged for their efficiency and complex designs. The advancement of technology has introduced a huge number of tray dryer designs that only increases its productivity.
